These are only granted under certain conditions and require a detailed examination.
Social fund of the Studierendenwerk
The Studierendenwerk offers you a grant if you find yourself in a sudden and unforeseen emergency situation through no fault of your own.
The one-time support is intended as a bridging aid and serves exclusively to ease your current situation.
You do not have a legal claim to it.

Mensa-Freitisch (Free Mensa Meals)
Mensa-Freitische, i.e. free Mensa meals, can be awarded if your financial situation justifies it. This is not a cash allowance, but your chip card (student ID) will be upgraded with a monetary amount.
