Canteens with Gold status have scored between 80 and 100 points in our scoring system. They are characterised by an extensive and clearly visible range of vegan options and have a clear strategy for the future that firmly commits to the further expansion of plant-based options.
Here is our assessment:
The Kaiserslautern Student Services Organisation offers a standard vegan dish and a vegan soup of the day every day at the canteen at the RPTU, thereby providing a reliable basic range of plant-based options as part of everyday university life.
The vegan dishes are labelled as the ‘Plant-Based Menu’, making it easy for diners to navigate the menu. With the planned expansion to include bowls, cakes, speciality coffees and protein-rich products, the canteen is continuously developing its range, focusing on high guest satisfaction and the growing demand for plant-based alternatives.
