Dear students, bachelor's and master’s degree candidates, and doctoral students,
FameLab Germany enters its sixteenth year – sign up now to participate in one of the most fun and entertaining science communication competitions live on stage: The regional heat FameLab Germany Karlsruhe will be held on 8 May 2026.
True to the motto “Talking Science” scientists from many countries are given the opportunity to present their research on stage at this event. What’s special? The presentation mustn’t be longer than 3 minutes and has to contain the right amount of science and wit to carry the mostly non-professional audience and an expert panel. Facilities such as PowerPoint presentations are not permitted. Only props that can be worn on the body or set up quickly may be used.
Participate!
Students and scientists from the fields of STEM, social sciences, or medicine (but not professional science communicators) who are at least 21 years old, who have participated in FameLab a maximum of once (regardless of the country) and who were not first or second place winners in a national final are eligible to participate.
Are you enthusiastic about your research and ready to showcase it on stage? If you want to challenge yourself and if you are at least 21 years old you can register for FameLab at www.famelab-germany.de.
