Pirmasens
Pirmasens is located on the south-west edge of the Palatinate Forest in Rhineland-Palatinate. The town has an area of around 61,000 square kilometres. The urban district is home to around 42,000 people and was once the centre of German shoemaking. Today it is the centre for international trade fairs in Rhineland-Palatinate. Pirmasens gained its University of Applied Sciences in 1989, with a future-orientated range of subjects on offer, including degree courses in Technical Logistics and Product and Process Engineering.
Studierendenwerk Kaiserslautern, with its three sites in Kaiserslautern, Pirmasens and Zweibrücken, runs a modern, comfortable hall of residence in Pirmasens, as well as contributing to students’ success with a Mensa and counselling and service facilities
