In charge of foreign students

Studierendenwerk Kaiserslautern is responsible for social counseling as well as of the student’s economic and cultural enhancement at the University of Kaiserslautern, and at Fachhochschule Kaiserslautern, Zweibrücken and Pirmasens.

In order to facilitate to foreign students the start in taking up their courses of study, the Studierendenwerk and Akademisches Auslandsamt offer a service pack to foreign students. This service pack comprises:

1. Accommodation in a furnished single apartment for one semester in one of the dormitories.
2. Health and care-taking insurance for one semester.
3. Studierendenwerk-contribution for one semester entitles to the utilization of the services of Studierendenwerk such as: public traffic ticket in local passanger traffic, legal and psychological counseling, theft insurence, German-French and international student ID-Card, social support, certifications, truck rental for moving.
4. Counseling by Akademisches Auslandsamt: language course for DSH examination, 7days, one-day excursions, theater visits, town tours.

Price of service pack per semester: 2.150 Euro.


Meals are possible in the Studierendenwer’s food halls and cafeterias. They are not included in the service pack.
